Almighty God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, O Righteous King, You Who discern the hearts of men, Who see through the robes of religion and the masks of piety — I come before You on this Holy Tuesday, the day when Christ, the Light of the World, taught in the temple, confronted darkness, and declared the end from the beginning – make today a ne beginning for me; give me sight to be a good guide; make me beautiful on the outside, filled on the inside with purity, and outwardly and inwardly righteous. O God, the Great Creator, let me not be counted among those who honor You with lips but deny You in their hearts; let no deceit dwell in me; nor for hypocrisy find rest in my bone; while uprooting every shadow of betrayal within me.
Lord Jesus, on this day, You were tested by scribes, by Pharisees, by skeptics and spies – yet You answered with the wisdom that silences every tongue, so Lord Jesus, search me, and reform all that is no good in me; grant me that same wisdom: to know when to speak and when to be silent; to walk with integrity when others compromise; to carry truth even when it costs me comfort; and strip from me the fear of men. Lord Jesus, let me not walk in the counsel of the proud; nor sit with mockers; nor dine at the table of treachery; rather let me stand with You, though the crowds turn, though the silver glitters, though the cross casts its growing shadow.
O Lord, my God, clothed in majesty and crowned with unsearchable wisdom, by Your Holy Spirit, cleanse the inner court of my soul; let me not trade divine inheritance for temporary applause; make me faithful when You are questioned; unashamed when You are rejected; and loyal when the world looks for another Barabbas. O Lord, let my eyes be fixed like flint upon Your face; let me not stumble at the hour of testing; let me not deny You when the fire grows near; rather let me be found awake, watching, discerning the hour, and faithful in the mystery. Father, today, I choose again to follow the Lamb wherever He leads, even when the path is narrow, even when it leads to Gethsemane. O God of Truth and Judgment, let this Holy Tuesday be a day of decision; a day of cleansing; a day of revelation – when I will be found on the side of Your Kingdom, with oil in my lamp, faith in my heart, and eternity in my sight. I ask this through Jesus Christ, the Word made Flesh, the Wisdom of God, the One who teaches in the temple still, my Lord and Saviour. Amen.
