God Almighty, Whose greatness no one can fathom Lord God, Who spreads the universe like a divination cloth, God the Great Reformer of the universe, the Gnome that sounds through human beings like cymbals, I come before You today praying as David for Your help in present trouble that You, O Awesome God, hear my just plea for mercy; Father, listen to my cry; hear my prayer — and let my vindication come from You O Lord. Though You probe my heart, though You examine me at night and test me, and know that i am sinner, yet it is Your nature to have mercy, so have mercy on me, and not let my enemies use my sins against me, nor as justification for vilifying me. Father keep me from the ways of the violent through what Your lips have commanded. Hold my steps to Your paths O Lord, so my feet will not stumble, lest I fall by the way side or in the pit dug by my enemies and the accuser. I call on You, my God, Who created us for Himself, please answer me, and turn Your ear to me and hear my prayer. Show me the wonders of Your great love, and save me from evil men, You Who save by Your right hand those who take refuge in You from their foes. Father, the Preserver of mankind, keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings, from the wicked who are out to destroy me, and from my mortal enemies who surround me. God, the Most High: Wholesome Mighty, Steadfast and Immovable, Who sees all things and saves by his outstretched arm, save me from enemies who close up their callous hearts, who have tracked me down, surrounding me, with eyes alert, and mind intent to throw me to the ground, and turn my fortunes to misfortune and take my joy in You away; Father save me from these forces of evil who are like a lion hungry for prey, like a fierce lion crouching in cover – against them rise up, Lord, confront them, bring them down; and with Your sword rescue me from these wicked initiates. By Your hand save me from such evil people and contrary and demonic forces, so that I will be vindicated and will see Your face; and enjoy Your lovingkindness in Christ Jesus. Amen
