Eternal Father, fount of great and ineffable wisdom, co-eternal with Yourself, Who in the birth of time created the Heavens, and the Earth, the Sea, and things that they contain, and Who vivified all things by the breath of Your mouth, Who made all things good and saves all from evil, Who wipes away our sins and forgives our trespasses, the One Immortal God, the Most Merciful
On this third Wednesday in Lent, and as we end the first half of the Lenten season, I pray Eternal Father, the Ancient of Days, God of Elijah, who calls fire from heaven, God of the prophets, who speaks in whispers and thunders alike — ignite within me the faith that rends the veil between the seen and unseen; grant me the faith that moves mountains;
God Almighty, Whose greatness no one can fathom Lord God, Who spreads the universe like a divination cloth, God the Great Reformer of the universe, the Gnome that sounds through human beings like cymbals, I come before You today praying as David for Your help in present trouble that You, O Awesome God, hear my just plea for mercy;
In Mark 8:34-36, Jesus says, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.”
Lord God, the All-Seeing, the All-Knowing, the One from Whom nothing is hidden, I come before You, humbled and burdened, yet trusting in Your unfailing mercy. You, O Lord, know my condition and my plight in this country: my obligations, my duties, and my debts. Father, You see my plight, You know where I am hurting, and You understand the heaviness of my burdens.

Eternal God, Jehovah Jireh, the Lord Who Provides, the Unfailing Source, the Keeper of time and seasons, the One whose storehouses never run empty, the God Who owns the cattle on a thousand hills, the One Who speaks and it is done, Who commands and it stands fast – I come before You, not in my own righteousness, not in my own strength, but in desperate need of Your mercy
Lord God Almighty, the Ancient of Days, the Eternal One, who was, who is, and who is to come, the heavens declare Your glory, and the earth trembles at the sound of Your voice. You, O Sovereign Lord, who set the foundations of the world in wisdom and stretched out the heavens by Your command
Lord God Almighty, the Great I Am, Mighty to save, Who led our forefathers through the travails from Rameses to Canaan, Who gave safety in travel to Abraham, I remind You this day, Your promise in Psalm 91:11 that You will command Your angels concerning me to guard me in all my ways;
On this third Wednesday in Lent, I invoke Your Holy Name Elohim Gibor, God the Strong One, Father of Lights, and pray that You grant that from Christ, the Greater Light, I am a point of Light within Your mind. Father, let that Light stream forth from me to others around me, so they may be enlightened of the Way to go.
