Lord God, Judge Eternal, throned in splendour, Lord of lords and King of kings, have mercy on this nation, and pity its suffering masses – with the richness of the Word, bless this land; with Your living fire of judgment, purge it of sin, and bitter things; and by Your healing wings, and gracious love,
Almighty God, Who gave wisdom to Esther and Daniel, our Eternal Father, Gracious God, the only Wise One, I come before You today, as Solomon in his day, to pray that You grant me divine wisdom, knowledge and understanding so my living may be holier and guided by things divine.
Father, we declare that we are blessed as a Church Family because we fear You, delight in obeying Your commands, and believe that Jesus Christ, the encompassing power and authority after the likeness of You our Father.
Lord Jesus Christ, the One Who is and Who we call to intercede for us before our Eternal Father; Who we repeatedly call in veneration; Who we call in His love, grace and mercy; Who we call to behold His wonder; Who we call and saves;
Lord God, the Great I Am, Supreme Source of good and abundance, I call on You in this world of challenges, at a time of austerity, and in a sea of want, to have mercy on me, as I pray for financial blessings in this season of austerity in the world – seeking that You make me abound in prosperity in all that I do and in all that I am, wherever I am.
Lord God, immanent in His creation, Great in His ways, I bring before You the ways of the Church established in Your Son’s name in Antioch to be the body of Christ, and to confess that the Church has been a perpetrator of all manner of sin – the Church has continued to split;
Fasting and prayer are not about earning God’s favor; they are about drawing near to Him. James 4:8 promises, “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” This Lent let’s embrace the joy of intimacy with God through fasting and prayer. Even when it feels challenging, remember that God sees your heart and honors your efforts.
Give ear, O heavens, as I say my adoration to God Almighty, the Rock, Whose work is perfect; Whose ways are justice; a God of truth, The Only Righteous One, the Great Creator, the Ancient of days Who shakes the earth, Who made the seas by His heavenly decree;
Father, I repent of all my sins, including adultery, in lusting over things of this world; in idolatry by way of financial idolatry: the worship of man, position and material things; greed, stinginess, self-centeredness, arrogance, pride, love of money, stubbornness and financial disobedience.
