O God, Author of love and Giver of companionship, You who said it is not good for man to be alone, I therefore come before You with a sincere and open heart to pray for all who are single seeking to love and be loved and getting happily married. Lord God, Who knows all desires of people, You know the desire of all who seek to be joined in marriage, to build a life of peace, joy, and purpose with another, so Lord bring into the life of these ones, the one You have prepared for each of them. Let the meeting of these ones not be by chance, but by Your design; let it be clear, right, and filled with peace; and remove every wrong connection, every distraction, and every relationship that is not from You for them. Keep them from delay caused by fear, confusion, or poor choices. Prepare them to be good partners — patient, kind, faithful, and wise. Shape their hearts so they can love rightly and receive love fully.
O God who establishes homes, as You prepare each seeker of grace of marriage, prepare the one who will be the right partner, that when they meet, they will recognise each other without struggle, and walk together without confusion. let this desire be fulfilled in Your time. Father, grant that these ones may have homes built on peace, and marriages marked by joy, and life shared in true companionship.
Jehovah Nissi, my Banner, stand sentry over their gates. Protect their minds from the arrows of loneliness and their bodies from the fires of the world. Hedge them in behind and before with the Refining Fire of the Spirit. May they use this time of singleness to build a legacy of service, a temple of character, and a life of fire that carries the light of Christ into every dark corner. Let their singleness be a city set on a hill—marked by Your favor and kept by Your power – and let it be the launch pad to marriage.
Jehovah Shalom, Lord of the Sacred Quiet, silence the clamour of the world’s expectations and the biting winds of comparison that these single ones suffer. I ask for supernatural contentment for them — not a resignation, but a deep, mystical joy that is found only in the Beloved. O God, Giver of love and Builder of homes, look mercifully on all who seek this love and lead them to a relationship that is clear, peaceful, and right. Remove every wrong connection and every delay not from You; grant them the grace to be whole before they are joined, and healed before they are held. Let Your Presence be the bread that sustains them in the desert, and Your Word the wine that gladdens their hearts in the secret watches of the night. Let them know, O Lord, that they are not waiting for life to begin, but are living life in its most consecrated form.
El Roi, the God who sees the hidden path, I pray for a divine ordering of their steps. Protect them from the snares of the fowler — from relationships that are but shadows and unions that lead to the wilderness. Grant them a Spirit of discernment that pierces through the veneer of the flesh to see the heart. Let them not settle for the wrong one in their hunger, but wait with the patience of the Cross for the Isaac of Your promise.
