Alpha and Omega, Eternal Fountain of All Affection, Whose mercy stretches from everlasting to everlasting, I look to You as the only source of true love. In a world that is rapidly changing, where the artifice of human intellect grows by the day, I ask that You increase my fidelity toward You.
EL SHADDAI, the All-Bountiful and O Divine Giver, Source of every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, grant that on this 10th day in this Lenten season the words of my mouth and the secret meditations of my heart become be acceptable in Your sight
O God Most High, El Elyon, Sovereign over time and eternity, Jehovah Rohi, Shepherd and Keeper of my soul, Holy and Undivided Trinity — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — I bow before You at the threshold of this Lenten pilgrimage.
EL SHADDAI, Lord God Almighty and All-Sufficient, under whose shadow the heavens tremble and the earth finds its rest: I stand this day not in the fragile authority of my own name, but in the unassailable victory of Christ.
Almighty and Most High God, Ancient of Days, Judge of all the earth, Holy One of Israel,
Jehovah Tsidkenu, remove my transgressions from me, so I may stand in the holy stillness of absolution – not defined by memory, not imprisoned by history, or shadowed by yesterday.
Lord of Life, Giver of breath and Judge of hearts, before whom all generations rise and fall, I have acknowledged my failings, I have confessed my sins, and I like many others say, with my lips, I am sorry.
O Lord Most High, God of all compassion, I come before Your throne today with a contrite heart in further confession of my sins. Father, I see now that the fall of the mighty is not always on battlefields — it begins in the secret chambers of the heart.
Merciful and Most Righteous Father, Searcher of hearts, before whose gaze no shadow survives, yesterday I acknowledged my distance. Today I kneel within it. I do not come to explain myself. I do not come to negotiate consequences. I come to confess. Not selectively. Not defensively. But truthfully. Father, I name what I can — though even this is only a fraction of what is known to You.
O Lord God Almighty, Ancient of Days, Uncreated Light who dwells in unapproachable glory, Holy, Holy, Holy is Your Name – O Thou Holiest. Before Your throne I come on this third day of Lent — not to argue, not to excuse, not to explain — but simply to acknowledge.
O, Ancient of Days, Eternal Light who shattered primordial darkness with a word,
Uncreated Flame, Source of all being and End of all longing, I stand at the threshold of this sacred Lenten pilgrimage.
